You may have already seen our Star Performers in the Inside Business section of The Post and Courier newspaper. But we’d like to give more insight every month into who our winners are and how they achieved their goals!
January’s Top Star Performer – Joni Brooks
Joni’s current work revolves around the real estate sales department. Joni and her clients know the power of print and believe in The Post and Courier’s audience. She helps her clients manage their SEM, targeted search, email and various other digital campaigns.
“I’ve been in the newspaper business my entire career,” Joni explained. “I’ve lived and worked in the newspaper industry in 5 states. I started in ad sales and moved up to management positions including advertising director, publisher and regional vice president.” Joni’s current work revolves around the real estate sales department.
Joni says she enjoys helping businesses grow by helping them to spend their marketing dollars wisely. “We have many products to offer but you really have to listen to get to know the customer and their business before you can recommend products that will work to get results for them.”
As a seller, Joni takes pride in understanding the clients needs and goals. “They are not spending money for fun; they need to see return on investment.”

January’s Other Star Performers – Jennifer Spigner (2nd), Karen Mead & Megan Buyer (3rd)
We’d also like to congratulate our second and third place sellers for January, Jennifer, Karen and Megan. Jennifer sells both print and digital products and services like social media, geofencing, and digital Post and Courier website banner space.
Karen sells Post and Courier newspaper advertising space and loves seeing positive results and working toward the next goal with a business.
